What data we collect

Reprieve collects only what you choose to share — your mood check-ins, your responses during AI sessions, and your exercise history. None of this is required. The app works without any personal information.

If you sign up on our website, we collect your name and email address so we can notify you when the app launches. We will never spam you or share your email with anyone.

Where your data lives

Everything you share inside the Reprieve app stays on your iPhone. We do not store your personal app data on any server. We do not have access to your conversations, your mood logs, or your check-ins.

AI sessions

When you use the AI session feature, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data according to their own privacy policy. We do not store these conversations after your session ends. By using the AI session feature you agree to this data being processed by Anthropic.

What we never do

We never sell your data. We never share your data with advertisers. We never use your data for any purpose other than making the app work for you.

Subscriptions

Subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment information.

Children

Reprieve is rated 17+ and is not intended for users under 17 years of age.

Crisis resources

Reprieve is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes we will notify waitlist members by email. Continued use of the app or website after changes means you accept the updated policy.

Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Reprieve you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Reprieve is

Reprieve is a wellness companion designed to help you manage stress, anxiety, and burnout through guided exercises, mood check-ins, and AI-powered conversations. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition or mental illness.

What Reprieve is not

Reprieve is not a substitute for professional mental health care, therapy, or emergency services. If you are in crisis, please contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or call your local emergency number.

AI sessions

AI sessions are powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may not always be accurate, appropriate, or complete. Do not rely on AI responses for medical, legal, or emergency decisions. By using AI sessions you acknowledge that your messages are processed by Anthropic according to their privacy policy.

Subscriptions and payments

Reprieve offers a free tier and a premium subscription. Premium subscriptions are billed through Apple at the prices displayed at the time of purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your iPhone Settings under Subscriptions.

Your data

All personal data created within the app — mood check-ins, session history, exercise progress — is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to it. You can delete all your data at any time from Settings within the app.

Age requirement

Reprieve is rated 17+ and is intended for users 17 years of age and older.

Limitation of liability

Reprieve is provided as-is without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated content.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
